Andrey Vladimirovich Kaplienko has been appointed Director General of JSC NIKIET


Andrey Vladimirovich Kaplienko was appointed Director General of JSC NIKIET by the General Meeting of JSC NIKIET’s Shareholders on 15 March 2017.

By a resolution of JSC NIKIET’s Board of Directors, dated 14 March 2017, Yu.G. Dragunov was appointed General Designer of JSC NIKIET.


Andrey Vladimirovich Kaplienko was born in Sevastopol on 8 August 1965. In 1987, he graduated from Sevastopol Higher School of Naval Engineers. In 1987-1997, he served at the Russian Northern Fleet’s base of Gadzhievo (Sayda Guba, Skalisty Closed Administrative and Territorial Unit, Murmansk Region). In 1999-2005, following his graduation from the N.G. Kuznetsov Naval Academy, he worked at the Russian Federation Defense Ministry’s Directorate for the State Supervision of Nuclear and Radiation Safety. In 2005, he worked as a senior scientist at NIKIET. Captain 1st Rank. Candidate of Science (Engineering)

In June 2005, A.V. Kaplienko transferred to the central office of the Federal Atomic Energy Agency. From 2010 to 2012, he was the head of the defense power systems development department at Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.

In 2012, he was appointed to the position of deputy director at Rosatom’s Nuclear Munitions and Defense Power Systems Development and Testing Department. A.V. Kaplienko led and was immediately involved in a number of successfully accomplished critical missions in ensuring the national interests and security of the Russian Federation. He is the holder of a number of government and branch awards.
